Grundfos Circulator Pumps

Availability: buy it at the local plumbing supply for under 100$

The Grundfos water circulator is different than any other pump in the world. The reason I am telling you this is because you might think that another kind of pump will work just as well, but think again.

First, Grundfos is simply a brand name for the circulator pump, and it happens to be the best.

What separates these Grundfos pumps from the rest of the world's pumps is it's special abilities: Remember, it's taking boiling water from the water heater and pushing it fast through your heat exchanger. Normal pumps can't handle hot water. So there's the main difference.

The second difference is that normal pumps cannot move tremendous amounts of water througha small port like these circulator pumps can.

The third difference is that these pumps turn on and off at least eight times per day in a normal application. Normal pumps can (and will) sieze between usages because the housing may deform, or other factors. In the Grundfos, and LIKE NO OTHER circulator in existence, the bearings and shaft are all deluxe quality, polished mirror smooth, and the housing is cast iron. The TECA circulator is a distant second place and saves you thirty dollars - at what real cost?

Why doesn't AquaDynamite.com sell Grundfos pumps?

Because after you buy one from us, and pay shipping, and all that, you find out that you could buy it at the local plumbing supply for under 100$ and we look like flimflammers. Best of all, buying this item locally ensures that you know EXACTLY where to go to get its replacement in a dire pinch. Remember, any individual system component in the multi segment heating scheme can be replaced in an instant.

This is the same reason you should buy your thermostat and the water boiler locally as well. Any component of the system which can be purchased and warrantied locally should be selected for this sensitive application, so its replacement can be swift.

Gold Key Purchases of the heat exchanger represents us doing our part to ensure that your multi segment heating system can be made operational again within or with less than 20o F heat loss after its failure. For this, you sometimes only have 36-48 hours.

If an internal part of the very effective RayPac® pool exchanger were to fail, parts availability and user-serviceability are sacrificed, and downtime is usually very extended. Any rapid 20o F drop in temperature can have dire consequences for your fish. For this reason, AquaDynamite.com has chosen not to carry this exchanger.
